This was interesting to look at! To me though, the irony of using GenAI to mimic Ghibli, a studio explicitly dedicated to the warmth of hand-drawn humanity, is palpable. It looks cool on the surface, but feels hollow knowing how it was built. CODA (also represents Nintendo, Bandai Namco, and Square Enix) sent a letter to OpenAI in November threatening to sue if they don't stop training on their art, it'll be interesting to see how that goes.
