Idea of You - DANZ CM
Someone on IG sent me a song by this chick last night. I expected it to suck, but turns out I loved it. I immediately listened to about 20 more song by her. Soooo many good tracks.
Today, her moniker is DANZ CM, but she used to go by Computer Magic. Personally, I prefer the old name.
Somehow, she only has like 20k monthly listeners on Spotify. This seems like a crime — both to her, and the billions of humans missing out on her music. In another variation of the multiverse, I’m certain that she is a superstar.
Love her music. Love her style.
Love that she’s not just a musician, but also something of a historian. She runs a zine and an IG account where she documents the history of synth music. I want to buy all her merch but it’s mostly sold out. 😅
P.S. She also sells her music in cassettes and I think that’s pretty rad too.
SIDE NOTE: On Instagram, we pair each post with a song that bangs. A lot of people don’t know that we have a comprehensive Spotify playlist with every song we ever played. Click here to check it out. 🎶
