I did some research:
Photo was taken on July 10, 1992, in Little Rock, Arkansas. The timing is wild: it was literally the morning after the vice-presidential announcement.
Bill and Al did a jog together, a jog that included a stop at McDonald’s.
On Al Gore’s first day as VP, he came out and showed the whole country his tip. And no one even gave a shit.

All of the red states on this map had interracial marriage become legal the same year in 1967.
Maryland repealed it themselves first on June 1, 1967.
Then on June 12, 1967, the U.S. Supreme Court said that state bans on interracial marriage were unconstitutional (Loving v. Virginia). That immediately made them legal in the remaining 16 states that still had bans.
📈 AI Is 2nd Biggest Infrastructure Buildout Ever
At 2.4% of GDP, AI is the second biggest infrastructure buildout ever (at least in the history of the United States).
Looking outside the U.S., China probably has the all-time record. They spent 24% of GDP on infrastructure in 2016.
What did China spend it on?
1) High-speed rail — from zero in 2007 to ~28,000 miles by 2023, more than the rest of the world combined
2) Highways — went from ~10,000 miles in 2000 to ~110,000, passing the US Interstate system around 2011
3) Cities themselves — subway systems in 40+ cities (Shanghai and Beijing), plus airports, ports, and the world’s biggest container terminals
4) Power — the Three Gorges Dam, a fleet of coal plants, then the largest solar and wind buildout on earth
5) Housing — hundreds of millions of apartments. Sometimes with whole cities built ahead of anyone moving in
